“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in
your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV)
The same God that designed the universe, and placed the stars in the heavens, designed you. God does not make mistakes, so there was no mistake when you were created. You were made just as you are for a time like this. He has given you purpose and vision. Your job is to allow him to work it all out. He is more than capable of doing what seems impossible to us.
If you don’t know, then let me tell you that you are loved, you are beautiful, and you are an important part of the kingdom. You need to stop listening to the lies the enemy has been speaking over you, and stop cursing the very thing God created (you). There needs to be more of an internal focus as well. So much focus has been placed on the outer person that it seems the inner person is being neglected altogether. While man may be judging the outer appearance, God is looking at the heart. Overall, it is His opinion of us that matters the most.
We need to change the way we think, and this begins in a place of worship. Worship is a form of warfare that can dispatch angels and dispel the enemy on your behalf. It can alter your circumstance and your thought process. In its very nature, it can change the atmosphere around you, and this includes your attitude and your way of thinking. It is your own thoughts that hinder you from advancing or making progress. When you worship, you are giving God access to your vulnerability and allowing him to advance against darkness on your behalf. Trust Him to do what He does best. You will not be disappointed.
Let’s choose to worship God with the purposeful intent of allowing Him to intervene in our thoughts and change the way we think. And may you be blessed by the words He speaks over you as you enter His presence with praise and thanksgiving.
God, forgive me for choosing to believe lies where you have spoken truth and purpose over my life. Help me to see myself the way you see me, and love myself for who you created me to be. Thank you for loving me enough to create me, and for giving me the opportunity to serve You in this world. I am excited for what we will accomplish together and thankful that you chose me. Amen
